Obituary of Kenneth Lee Chermak
Kenneth Lee Chermak, age 56, of Shakopee, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, September 6, 2015 while spending the long holiday weekend with his two younger sons and his hunting buddies at their hunting shack north of Pillager, MN. Ken was born on December 22, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI to Otto (Ed) and Joyce Chermak, currently of Jordan. He married Sandi Johnson of St. Peter, on September 30, 1989. Ken and Sandi have three sons and have lived in Shakopee for the past 26 years. Ken worked for the Mpls Public Schools as the Foreman of the Pipefitters shop. Ken loved spending time with family and friends and had a passion for hunting, fishing and spending time with his boys and his hunting buddy's at the family's hunting land north of Pillager. Ken leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Sandi; their three sons, Lucas (24), Russell (20) and Samuel (16): and his two older sons, Robert of Shakopee and Jeffery (Madeline) of Belle Plane. He also leaves behind his father, Otto (Ed) Chermak; brothers, Edward (Tiny), Steven (Geli); sister, Teresa; brother, Daniel, twins Joan (Bill) Karst, John (Sheri) and; brother, Ronald along with two grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; brothers Richard; and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12 at The Church of St. Mary, 535 Lewis Ave., Shakopee with visitation at the church, prior to services, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Ken's family and loved ones invite everyone to please join them in the Celebration of Ken's Life reception/party, following the church service at 3 p.m. at the Shakopee KC Hall, 1760 4th Ave E., Shakopee.
