My deepest sympathies to Phyliss losing her beautiful life. I send my condolences to the family, friends and all who loved her.
I have so many fond memories growing up next to Phyliss and Omar. The hellos and waves betweens fences, the long talks in the driveway.Their beautiful garden every year. Tea parties with Phyliss. The Halloweens, she always had a special bag made up for my brother David and I. Made us English treats from time to time. She loved to educate us about England.
Phyliss is the sweetest soul, always kind words, always caring and such good friends with my Mom Luise and Dad Frank. Truly I was so blessed to have her as my neighbor growing up.
Phyliss watched my brother and I grow up, watched my children grow up and then got to see my first grandbabies. I am forever grateful for those memories and will hold them close to my heart forever. ❤️.
Rest in peace Phyliss.
Love to all, Christine Holbert Gay

We first met Phyliss at the home of our next-door neighbor and her close friend, Dianah. Both were World War II “war brides” and regular attendees of their British club. It was an incredible education to listen to these two friends tell of their lives prior to coming to the U.S. to live.
Phyliss was a very pleasant, kind, compassionate person. She exhibited strength and courage not only for arriving in the US without having a lot of people she knew, but also the fact that two of her sons preceded her in death, which is not in the plan order of parents.
Phyliss was so appreciative of rides, the little or big things done for and with her.
We count it as a privilege to have been able to be in the vast number in her circle of friends and express our deepest condolences to that family she loved so well.

This is such a beautiful tribute to an amazing woman! She always made everyone feel welcome! I even had English tea with her, made my her in her own home a little over a year ago when I was in Minnesotan visiting with her and my sister Linda! She loved talking and being with people!
