Daryl “Rocky” LeRoy Mountain
76, passed away July 5th, 2015. Born December 8th, 1938 to Elmer & Lucille (Goff) Mountain. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Gail Marie (Blahosky) Mountain; Aunt, Joyce (Mountain) Buck; Brother, Gary Mountain; Sisters, Barbara Diaz and Betty (Thomas) LaBarr; 8 children, Wanda (Victor) Matthews, Rochele (Joseph) Lillion, Stormie (Mark) Petersen, Melody (Alan) Springer, Scott Moyer, Candace (Steven) Neisinger, Rocky (Jennifer) Mountain and Roxanne (Ronald) Rogowski; 33 Grandchildren; 36+ Great-Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sisters-in-Law, Cauline Thompson and Diane Meyers. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Judy Mountain; Brothers-in-law, Tom Thompson and Robert Myers and 2 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. Rocky was a loving husband and father to his kids. A veteran, a story teller, with a great sense of humor and who always made you laugh. An over the road truck driver and worked the Carnival circuit. He was a “True Cowboy”, loved riding horses and enjoyed golf. His Legacy will be remembered through his musical entertainment and many talents. He was recently inducted into the Legends of Country Music Association of South Dakota and his musical legacy and artistic ability lives on through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be no funeral services as Rocky had his celebration of life, which we thank all of his family and friends for helping him enjoy this wonderful event. The family welcomes cards but no flowers.
