Obituary of James Clinton

James Vernon Clinton, Age 68, passed away peacefully in his sleep, August 14, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents Rome and Margaret Clinton and sister, Judy. A life long resident of Minneapolis; Jim graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to attend the University of Minnesota and became a member of the swim team and Delta Chi fraternity. Later, he became a Navy Medic with the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Jim was a loving husband, father and loyal friend, and is survived by his wife of 30 years, Letha Clinton, his daughters Jennifer Ericson (Brian)and Summer Harrison, his stepson Tim Ruble, sister Joan Johnson (Steve), brother John Clinton (Violet), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Your wife, children, family, friends and all who knew you send their love and prayers as you leave us for your last 'ride to the beach'. Semper Fi! A small gathering will take place, Friday, August 21 at 10:00 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area #5. A sharing of memories at James and Letha’s apartment following the service. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. Details to follow as arrangements are finalized.
