Obituary
Obituary of Lisa Marie Anderson
Lisa Marie Anderson, 55, of St. Louis Park went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, Aug. 16, 2015.
She was surrounded by family and friends over the last few days of her earthly journey, a tribute to her wonderful life. And to those who knew her they would say she brought a bright spot, a funny sense of humor and a helping hand to their life. A bit quirky at times, her quick wit could have you laughing and you would be sprinkled with joy.
She adored children and as her niece Nellie shared, “Lisa has always had a child-like heart; she was born to run, laugh, color and bring joy. She will enjoy heaven more than anyone.” She loved to cook with her mom, watch the Vikings and help her neighbors with all their projects. She was an avid walker and participated in her neighborhood walking club.
Neighbor Marilyn shared, “I already miss ‘twitter bird’ with her news of the neighborhood and sweeping the patio…Her sudden absence will be felt by many. My sympathies go to all who were on her route.” Every neighbor on her route was very dear to her, yet there were a few who we are grateful for their extra support. Sunai, Marlyn, Bernice, Vince, Josh, Michael, Roger, Bob, Marilyn, Erik, Susan, and so many more, forgive us if we didn’t know if you did as Lisa covered so many on her route – words cannot express our gratitude to all of you for all your love and support over these past years.
As her family, we are all so thankful for her life and to all her neighbor friends who helped create the rich tapestry that she wove among all of us.
Lisa loved Jesus with all her heart and was carried into heaven by two ministering angels; now she is enjoying Jesus, the beautiful colors, and all family and friends who went before her. Lisa joined the great cloud of witnesses and is peering over the banisters of heaven, cheering us all on to finish our earthly race. Hebrews 12:1. “Encourage yourselves in the Lord knowing that in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, the dead in Christ will rise first and we who are living will be caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Donald D. Anderson; sister, Tina Jo Anderson and nephews, Joey and Derek Anderson.
She is survived by her mother Shirley Anderson; sister, Deb (Bill) Campbell; nieces: Heather (Seth) Bergstrom, Nellie (Jason) Wilkinson, and Tiffany Kasheimer, Nephews: Ian (Lyndsay) Campbell, Ben (Emily) Campbell, and Matthew Anderson. Great-nephews and nieces: Braden and Jack Wilkinson, Rylan, Emersyn, Landyn and Jamisyn Campbell. And to all her neighbor friends, who she considered to be her ‘real’ family – you were deeply loved.
Celebration of Lisa’s life and Home-Going service: Monday, Aug. 24 from 6 pm – 9 pm at the Cremation Society of MN at 7110 France Ave So. In Edina. We will have refreshments and a time of remembering what a bright spot she was in all our lives. We love you Lisa and will see you again in heaven.
