Obituary of Nancy Carolyn Aune

Nancy Carolyn Aune, age 73, passed away at Methodist Hospital on September 12, 2015 after complications from cancer treatment. Nancy was born December 19, 1941 in Fergus Falls MN to Norman and Inga Kragrud. She graduated from Fergus Falls Senior High in 1959. She attended Moorhead State University for one year before attending Fairview School of Nursing where she graduated with an RN degree in 1963. She later attended Metropolitan State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Administration degree. All of her career years were spent in healthcare administration, first at HCMC and then at Health Partners until her retirement in 2000. For the last 12 years, Nancy and Dennis Lebakken lived in Buffalo, MN and spent winters at their home in Green Valley, AZ. Nancy enjoyed watching her grandson, Alex play baseball and Denny's grandchildren in their extra-curricular activities. Survivors include her soul mate, Dennis Lebakken of Buffalo, MN; daughter, Karina Elizabeth Aune (Jason) Carney, Minnetonka, MN; grandson, Alexander Carney, Minnetonka, MN; sister, Judy (Harlan) Lysne, Fergus Falls, MN; Sister, Virginia (Mark) Ronning, Fergus Falls, MN; niece, Kirsten (Mark) Suda (and their children); niece, Jennifer Lysne; and nephew, Carl Ronning. Also surviving are Denny's sons, Craig (Sue) Lebakken (and their children) and Brian (Elizabeth) Lebakken. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, visitation one hour prior, September 21, 2015 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, Minnesota 55435. Interment will be held at a later date at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Fergus Falls, MN.
