Obituary of Charles A Odden

ODDEN, Charles A. "Chuck", of Champlin, Minnesota, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 at Gracewood of Champlin. He was born in Decorah, Iowa, on February 4, 1932, the 2nd child of Albert and Gladys (Westby) Odden. He attended grade school in Decorah, Iowa and graduated from Humboldt High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was married to Lorraine Wedig and they were blessed with two daughters, Pat Savage and Karen Skalicky. Chuck served our country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years after graduating High School. He also worked for Public Finance as a District Manager in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and the Dakotas for over 25 years. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorraine Brown; brother in-law, Robert Brown; nephew, Larry Jacobson; and niece, Cindy (Brown) McKee. He will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Pat (Eric) Savage of Champlin and Karen (Jeff) Skalicky of Hinckley; two granddaughters, Kristy Adams and Kelly (Jesse) Spinler; great granddaughter, Emma Rae Spinler; sister, Delores "Babe" (Lyle) Jacobson of Baldwin, WI; many nieces, nephews; loving relatives and friends. Visitation 1 hour before service. Celebration of Life 2PM Saturday, November 14th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN (763-560-3100). Private interment.
