Obituary of Gladys Williams
Gladys "Reola" Williams, 64, passed on from this life into eternity on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015.
Sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, cousin, friend. These words seem insufficient to describe her.
Since 1978 she has dedicated herself to her children, while also being a strong support for her siblings, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
She and her children moved to Duluth, Minn. in 1993 where she soon began teaching for the Duluth School District. A position she retired from in June of 2015 after 20 years of service.
She was also a very active member of Living Faith International Church (Duluth, Minn.), where she was an ordained minister, sang in the choir, led small groups, led pre-service prayer, and worked with the Bible school.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Harding Roberts, Sr. and her mother, Gladys Burkhalter Roberts; her nephew, Vincent "Buddy" Roberts.
She is survived by her four children, Daniel Williams, Jr., David (Amber) Williams, Stephen (Jamie) Williams and Stephanie (Patrick) Flood; her grandchildren, Faith Spillman, Sarina Williams, Daniel Williams III, Elijah Ham-Williams, Shalom Williams, Mekhi Flood, Jasper Williams II, William "Hank" Kettelhut, and Max Williams; her four siblings, Stanley (Felicia) Roberts, Jr., Vincent (Lynn) Roberts, Darlene Roberts, and Valeriessia Roberts; several nieces and nephews; her church family, and a host of friends.
She will always be loved, never forgotten.
