Obituary of Rodney Gunnar Brodin

Rodney Gunnar Brodin, 65, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. Rodney was born Nov. 25, 1949 in Duluth, to Ralph and Ethel (Nelson) Brodin where he grew up and attended schools. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he attended William Mitchell College of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate. He worked and retired from the Saint Louis County Public Defender Office and also practiced in his private Law Firm. He enjoyed skiing and was an active member at the Lester Park Hockey Association. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three sons: Josh (Kari), Jeff (Chau Nguyen) and Jake (Brianna Clarin); grandchildren, Annabella and Laurel. He is also survived by his two brothers: Dennis (Sandy) and Larry, several nieces and nephews, and extended family. SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 in St. Michael's Catholic Church located at 4901 E Superior Street in Duluth. Immediately following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life luncheon provided by the family at The Reef located at 2002 London Road in Duluth.
