Obituary of Evester Jenkins

8-31-38 ~ 11-12-15. Born in Shelby, MS., Otis loved and was loved by parents, Horace & Ninee Jenkins; 11 siblings; wife, Chris; children & step-children, Mark (Shelly), Shauna, Alyssa, Mark (Lori), Angela & Rudy; 12 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. Most often the instigator of family reunions, he showed his love of nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles & cousins. Navy Veteran of over 30 years and active in Johnny Baker American Legion Post 291. After retirement, he became a Sr. Executive, Viking Council, BSA. Otis served his city of New Hope on the HR Commission. Besides family, the love of Otis’s life was golf. He was on the Executive Board of Twin City Golf Club, focusing on the Jr Bronze Tournament and introducing inner city youth to the sport he loved. Memorial service 1 pm on Friday, Nov. 27 at Fort Snelling Chapel, Hwys. 5 and 55. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
