Obituary of Warren E. Madison

Madison, Warren E. of Bloomington, MN. Age 77. Passed away peacefully December 4, 2015 with family by his side. Preceded in death by his father Edwin, mother Winifred and sisters Judy & Myrna. Survived by his loving wife Kathaleen, daughters Lisa and Cindee (husband Chris), grandchildren Darnell, Kora and Torin, sister Betty, along with many close nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Born in a farmhouse in Slayton, MN, he spent his early childhood in Long Beach, CA before returning to Pipestone, MN where he graduated from High School. A Veteran of the US Navy, he served on the USS Glacier travelling to both the North and South Poles multiple times. A memorable experience that inspired his family to jokingly gift him a penguin-inspired present every holiday. He worked for the City of Bloomington for 33 years, but preferred to spend his time in the woods up north. A true blue collar engineer, he could fashion an immaculate table out of old cedar fencing or restore any engine that ran "at some point". Never found without his toothpick or hanky, he had a gracious heart and never lost his sense of humor. He will be dearly missed. Memorial will be held December 21, 2015 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN (visitation at noon, service at 1pm). He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
