Obituary of Richard Lynch
Richard "Dick" Lynch, 78, of Esko, Minn., passed away on his birthday Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at the Agustana Oak View Assisted Living in Moose Lake, Minn., with his loving family by his side.
Richard was born Dec. 6, 1937 to Thomas and Violet Lynch in Minneapolis.
He graduated from Cathedral High School, Duluth in 1957 and served in the Army and Army Reserves. Richard retired in 2002 from the U.S. Postal Service as lead Mechanic.
He enjoyed traveling, restoring classic cars, wood working, bowling and family gatherings. His family was his pride and joy. As a talented mechanic and handy man, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Violet Lynch; mother and father-in-law, Ras and Christina Ternes; brother, Gerald Lynch; and brother-in-law, Edward Ternes.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; daughter, Marianne (Scott) Bohren of Esko and sons, Richard (Julie) Lynch of Prior Lake, Minn., Michael (Debbie) Lynch of Hermantown, and James (Tammi) Lynch of Esko; brothers, Thomas (Yvonne) of Becker, Minn., and Robert (Patricia) of Duluth; sister-in-law, Joan Lynch of Duluth; eight grandchildren; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Oakview Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care.
