Obituary of Diane N Tracy

Diane N. Tracy, 64, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Duluth and Superior, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospice with her husband by her side. Diane was born in Ellenburgh, Washington on Dec. 31, 1951 to George and Lillian (Anderson) Nikkola. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was a 1969 graduate of Moose Lake High School. Diane worked in the Twin Cities area for a number of years before moving to the southern United States. Later she moved to Duluth where she was united in marriage to Gary Tracy. Diane worked for several area businesses in Duluth until her health declined. She enjoyed watching television, mainly cooking shows, as well as movies. Diane also enjoyed reading magazines, baking, camping, canoeing and vacationing. She will be remembered and missed for her kind, gentle and compassionate nature. She is preceded in death by her first husband Carl and her parents. Diane is survived by her husband Gary; brothers and sisters Don (Karen) Nikkola, Tom (Linda) Nikkola, Deb (Dan) Minkkinen, Annette (Rick) Panfil; mother-in-law Irene; brother-in-law Jim (Julie) Tracy; dog Pepper as well as many extended family members and friends. The family extends a special thank you to the extraordinary staff at St. Luke's Hospice.
