Obituary of Anne K. Shute

Anne K. Shute, age 96, of Edina, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 16. Anne is preceded in death by loving husband, Preston Shute and son Gary Shute. Born on July 2, 1919, Anne was a true matriarch who adored her children David Shute (Karen), Sally See, Paul Shute (Suzanne), her seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Anne was proud of her time as a Navy WAVE during World War II, her 25 years as a volunteer at Methodist Hospital and her membership at Interlachen Country Club, where she could showcase her love of golf. A memorial service will be at a later date. A special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at Methodist Hospital and Friendship Village.
