Obituary of Cheryl C. Barnett

Cheryl C. Barnett, 64, of Duluth, passed away into the arms of her savior, Jan. 18, 2016 after a three year battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 14, 1951 in Brainerd, Minn., to the late Olaf and Dorothy Johnson. She was raised in Isabella, and moved to Duluth at the age of 13. Cheryl held many jobs throughout her life. She worked for the Radisson Hotel in Duluth, retiring after 34 years of faithful service. She loved gardening, traveling and decorating for the holidays. Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband Don; one brother Gary Johnson; one sister-in-law Betty Johnson; niece Michelle Mason; two nephews Brandon and baby Johnson, and her four beloved dogs. Survivors include: one son Wade Barnett; five brothers: Chester (Mary), Charlie, Garold (Nancy), Greg, Darrell (Dottie) Johnson; three sisters: Geraldine Mason, Char Jendrzejewski, Karen Black; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces; one great-nephew, and her dearest friend Bunny Krueger. A special thank you to St. Lukes Oncology Dept, Dr. Perlov, Infusion Center and Hospice. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 23, 2016 in the Cremation Society of MN, 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be held 9 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
