Obituary of Robert Aspling

Rev. Robert Aspling, 69, of Hermantown died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 with his family by his side. Bob married Patti and became instant father to her four little boys whom he soon adopted. Bob was a faithful husband, father, Eagle Scout, soldier, musician, teacher, police chaplain and pastor. Bob wanted it known that the most important part of his life was his love for Jesus and his love for his family. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother Gilbert; son Jon, and brothers-in-law Sheldon and Craig. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patti; his sister Judy; sons Scott (Robin), Steven (Ida), and Thomas (Laura); 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bob's family would like to thank the loving care of hospice of St Luke's for Bob. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 in Anchor Point Community Church in Lakeside.
