Obituary of Warren Philip Burrell

Warren Philip Burrell, age 92, passed on peacefully February 1, 2016. He was born in Duluth, resided in Edina, later St. Louis Park. He was predeceased by parents Philip L.H. Burrell and Olivia Carlson Burrell. He is survived by Charlotte, wife of 70 years, son Paul (Sharon) Burrell, and daughters Linda (Alan) Swanson and Gail (Robert) Borchers. He was blessed by grandchildren Karin, Maija, Henry and Isaac, and three great grandchildren. After service in WW II (Army Air Corps) he graduated from the U of M in Electrical Engineering. He was a pioneering computer designer at Univac and later managed telecommunications for the State of MN. A longtime member of Colonial Church of Edina, he enjoyed family, travel, reading, walking, gardening. Private services at a later date. Memorials preferred to Methodist Hospital Hospice Program.
