Obituary of Allan F. Hohman

Hohman, Allan F. Passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on March 1st, 2016, at age 90 after a brief, but valiant battle against GBM brain cancer. Preceded in death by parents, William & Freida, and brother, Ronnie. Beloved husband of 66 years to Joan, dear dad to Laurie (Dan) Kohler, Mesa, AZ; Diane (Joe) Ayers, Eagle Bend, MN; Jerry (Lori) Hohman, Gilbert, AZ; and Cindy (Bob) Klatt, Woodbury, MN; grandpa to David, Jennifer, Ken, Jo, Angie, Zachary, Brian, Joshua, Chris, Jordan, Emily; 11 great-grandchildren; cherished brother of Dorothy Gilkey; dear brother-in-law of Marilyn Baden and Marina Hohman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Proud 38-year employee of Ziegler’s as THE BEST field service mechanic. Highlight of his retirement was boating on the St. Croix. Memorial service 11:00 a.m., March 26th, at the Cremation Society Memorial Chapel, 1979 Old Hudson Rd., St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to 1st Baptist Church of St. Paul or Allina Health Hospice Foundation. Al finally encountered something that he couldn’t fix. Semper fi.
