Obituary of Ardis Evelyn Stevenson

Ardis Evelyn Stevenson Age 94, of Edina, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2016. Born November 20, 1921 to Art and Sadie Olson on the family farm near Mapleton, MN. Ardis attended a one-room school house and went on to business college in Mankato, MN at the age of 16. There she excelled in business and accounting and went on to jobs at the Pentagon during WWII, Glacier National Park, Hollywood, CA and the newly arrived Guthrie Theatre in Mpls., to name a few. Ardis was friendly and curious and took a great interest in everyone she met, making many life-long friends along the way. She did an excellent job of filling her role as matriarch of her loving family and will be missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Woodrow and Archie Olson. Survived by daughter, Patty Timberg; sister, Rhoda Campbell; and brother, Darrell Olson. She was a much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Service to be held Tuesday, March 22 at 2 PM at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Mpls., 952-926-7651. Memorials to N.C.
