Obituary of Robert A. Mickolajak

Robert A. "Bob" Mickolajak, 77, of Duluth passed away Monday March 14, 2016. Bob was born Oct. 19, 1938 in Duluth, to the late John and Elvah Mickolajak. He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1957. He married Sharon Barlow in 1960 in Duluth where they raised their three children. He had a lifelong career selling insurance. He enjoyed all sports, and spending time with his family at the cabin in Deer River and in Cotton. Bob and Sharon wintered in Barefoot Bay, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon of 46 years. Those who loved and shared Bob's life are his three children: Dee-Dee Opien, Julie (Bob) Waltenburg, Robb (Kim) Mickolajak, and special cat Mickey, and many special friends. A special thanks to the caring staff at St. Ann's Residence. A private burial will be held at a later date.
