Obituary of Robert G Hendrickson

Robert G. Hendrickson, 67, of Duluth, passed away with his family by his side on March 23, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Bob was born in St. James, Minn., on March 3, 1949 to Robert and Betty (Brehmer) Hendrickson. He graduated from Duluth East High School and furthered his education at UMD. Bob had a long career with Minnesota Power. He retired to enjoy his family, camping and fishing and the tranquility of the Boundary Waters. Bob also enjoyed staying active by golfing and taking daily walks on the lake walk and through the rose garden. Bob endured a long battle with health problems over the last several years. He did so with strength, resilience and grace. He kept his sense of humor until the end. He is preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his children, Trista Schinigoi, Brandon (fiance Billie Ailport), Katrina (Kent Lund) Hendrickson and Guy (Michelle); eight grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Sue), Todd (Joelle) and Joel; sisters, Judy Cooper and Nancy (Kevin Willenbring) Mynars as well as many extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary staff at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
