Obituary of Beverly L. Veeder
Veeder, Beverly L. (Vermeer)
On March 28, after 86 amazing years, Beverly finally, reluctantly, heeded the call to go home. A seemingly ordinary wife and mother who was anything but ordinary. She adored her husband, Jim and her family, her love for them as great as the universe. Her sense of humor is legendary among her friends and her generosity touched many along her path. She loved all animals, but especially her dogs. She was an avid reader, loved to play the piano and sing, and taught her children kindness to others - this was more important than any earthly success. She could never pass up a garage sale and had her own antiques business. She always looked forward to lunching on Saturdays at Ciao Bella, and spending time with her granddaughter, Rhonda. Beverly was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Vermeer; her sister, Norma Torvik; and her daughter, Cindy. Still loving her here is James, her beloved husband and rock of 63 years; her children, Scott (Grace) Lasseson, Kellie (Alan), McClaren, and Jim (Susan) Veeder; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 5 – 7 PM Sat., April 2 at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina (952-924-4100). Our hearts are broken, but heaven is celebrating.
