Obituary of Gloria Petersdorf

Gloria Petersdorf, 87, of Duluth, died April 1, 2016. Gloria was born in Minneapolis to John and Claudia Johnson June 23, 1928. She was a graduate of Superior Central High School. Gloria was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. She was employed as secretary to attorney Charles Cadigan, Lakeshore Lutheran Home and St. Luke's Dietary Department. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Norman of Portland, Ore.; and husband Phillip. Gloria loved animals, and she was the greatest grandmother in the world to her grandsons Justin and Adam. She loved them so very much. Gloria is survived by her children, Susan Christiansen of Duluth and Jane Holmes of Olsburg, Kan.; grandchildren Adam Christiansen of Minneapolis and Justin Holmes (Jennifer) of Manhattan, Kan.; and great-grandchildren Aidan and Brooklynn Holmes and Corey Kaszanics. Special thanks to the exceptional staff at Aftenro Nursing Home. They took such loving care of our mother in the last month of her life. Also thank you to Essentia Hospice who guided me through the process of end of life. Per Gloria's request, there will be no service held at this time.
