Obituary of Gary Dale McMillen

Gary Dale McMillen, died April 2, 2016, in his home surrounded by his friends. He was born on Sept. 17, 1948. The dash between those 66 years were filled with joy, love and an amazing life! Personal and physical challenges did not hinder Gary from living life to its fullest, with an unending positive spirit! Gary lived in Duluth, for over 25 years at RSI and had recently retired from UDAC. His family and the friendships he had with those who supported him throughout his life meant the world to him. His wonderful smile filled the room with love and happiness. Gary was an artist, loved to camp, drink coffee and come up with silly pranks, and go shopping to buy slapstick movies, Ninja Turtle dcor and funny tee-shirts. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and David "Mac" McMillen; sister, Kathy Antolik; brother, David McMillen; nephew, Brian Thompson and special friend, Karen. Gary had a strong faith and would send daily kisses up to heaven. He is survived by his nephews, Jeff and Terry Thompson. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. We will miss our dear, sweet "G-man" but know that he is looking down and continuing to send us his kisses!
