Obituary of Aurther W. Holmes DD

REV HOLMES DD, ARTHUR age 90, of Farmington MN, passed away April 4, 2016. From humble beginnings in Los Cruces New Mexico, he entered the U.S. Coast Guard, went on to Seattle Door Company and then into the Ministry. Art was ordained as a Lutheran Minister, starting his ministry at Forest Heights Lutheran Church. He retired from the pulpit in Cottonwood MN, but continued to prepare his weekly sermons well into his 80's, just in case someone might need him to fill in. He also worked as Dean of Students at Camrose Lutheran College and as Director of the Edmonton City Center Church Corporation. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mryna and daughter-in-law Suzanne. Survived by 3 sons, Rick of Idyllwild CA, Terry (Ruth) of Farmington MN, Paul (Dawn) of Victoria MN, 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. We are very proud of his life and service to God and mankind. We will sorely miss his great stories, youthful behavior and playful character. Memorials may be directed to E4C
