Barbara was born on April 4th, 1927 and joined our Lord in Heaven on April 5th, 2016 in the company of good friends and family. While attending There she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
She worked as an interior designer in Wayzata, taught at Blake school for many years, both before and after having a family. She eventually became a partner in the Gold Mine Antiques in Wayzata in 1976 which was a true passion of hers for the rest of her life. While living most of her life in Minnesota, She traveled the world extensively and made many life-long friends abroad in Europe and S. America. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, convertibles and gardening.
She filled her life with volunteer work with the Minneapolis Junior League, The Minneapolis Art institute, and was a member of several book clubs. Those who knew her would tell you she had a flair for decorating, antiques, flowers and gardening and impeccable style.

She is survived by Son Thomas Maxwell and wife Hye Sul, grandchildren Christopher and Jessica, Stepchildren Cynthia Michael Foster, Stephen Michael, Margaret Michael McHugh, John Michael, Melissa Michael Gregerson, Sister Mary Ann Morgan, and her husband Earl as well as many nieces and nephews.
Barbara passed on after a long battle with COPD, which she faced with dignity and grace, and fought with an iron will and never complained.
