Obituary of George H. Coyne
Coyne, George H. Passed away on April 9, 2016 at age 93. Preceded in death by wife Kathryn Worrell Coyne and sister Katherine Coyne Jorgensen. Survived by daughter, Nancy Coyne Thurlow, grandson, Paul Coyne Thurlow, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, niece and nephews and their families, as well as many dear and supportive friends. George was born March 25, 1923 in Mpls, raised in Bryn Mawr, graduated from West High School and attended the U of Minn. He proudly served as a pilot, USMC, during WWII and the Korean War. He made his home in Edina, MN and later in Eden Prairie, MN. After learning the realty business, he applied his workshop skills to his own business as a home building contractor. George enjoyed photography, volunteering as a member of the Optimist Club of Edina, participating in computer clubs, family vacation road trips and walking his dog he always had one or two. Friends are invited to bring memories and join with family in a Celebration of Life open house Saturday, April 23, 2:00-4:00 at Summit Place, Performance Room, 8505 Flying Cloud Dr., Eden Prairie, MN. Ceremony at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Mon., April 18, at 10:15, Area 3. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org appreciated.
