Obituary of Olive Mae Rogalla
Olive Mae Rogalla, 81, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
She was born in Berrien Township, Mich., on Oct. 15, 1934, to Kenneth and Mae Howell.
Her family moved to Duluth where she graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1952. Olive married John Rogalla on Nov. 2, 1952.
Olive was active in the Women of the Moose, where she was Deputy Grand Regent for the State of Minnesota in 1995. She was named Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Olive attended Forbes United Methodist church and was active supporting the kitchen staff for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Walter Howell.
Olive is survived by her husband, John; her children, June (Bill) Taylor of Georgia, Joy (Jim Reiland) Rogalla of Oregon, John (Karen) Rogalla, of Duluth and James (Jennifer) Rogalla of Washington. In addition, she was blessed with four grandchildren, Michael and Brian Rogalla of Duluth, Sydney and Acacia Rogalla of Washington. Austin Rogalla of Duluth is her only great-grandson. Olive is survived by two nieces, Terry Rogge of Duluth and Dawn Frederick of New Richmond, Wis., and a nephew, Brian Howell of Jordon, Minn.; several grandnieces and grandnephews. She will be missed by many other family members and friends, including Austin's mother, Sarah.
VISITATION: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, in Forbes United Methodist Church, 33 Grove St., Proctor. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, in the church with fellowship to follow in the Proctor Moose.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forbes United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund.
