Obituary of Curt E. Anderson
Curt “Fish” E. Anderson
January 17, 1963-December 15th, 2024
Heaven got a lot more musical on Sunday, December 15th. After years of “fighting like a fish,” our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Curt, lost his long battle with cancer. Although not “jazzed” about leaving, he was comfortable and at peace, surrounded by loved ones.
Curt’s love of music was passed down from his mother, and Fish took it to the next level. His love of drums and drumming progressed into a profession. He was in countless bands: Trick Whisper, The Cervantes, Fish and the Fins, The Hitkickers, Hopie's Turtle, and Rage N Country, to name a few. Curt also worked with artists like Cheap Trick, B.B. King, and Nelly.
Racing was in Curt’s blood. He was either at a track or wearing gear. He loved all things racing, but drag racing held a special place in his heart. He traveled to many local and national races over the years.
Fish is preceded in death by his father, Ray. He leaves behind his mother, Donna, aunt Bonnie (Rick); brothers Kevin (Trish) and Ron; sister, Laureen; nephews Jesse and Clay (Kaila); stepdaughter Micaela, who he loved with all of his heart and was so proud of; and more friends than one could count.
We want to thank everyone who cared for him during his journey. Kurt Kuehn, Jeff Johnson, Leanne Naegeli, Derrick Hietala, Joe Backen, Heather Kuhne, Jennifer Niemi, and countless others. Thank you to Fr. Steven Laflamme for spending time with Curt in the last few days. He was never alone, and special thanks to Joe and Heather for walking him through his transition.
