Obituary of Morris J. Botten
Morris J. Botten, Jr., 80, of Solon Springs, Wis. passed away Monday, April 18, 2016.
He was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Superior to Morris and Edith Botten. Morrie was a 1954 graduate of St. Croix High School and a veteran of the United States Marines Corps.
Morrie worked for the ABEX Corporation in Superior for over 20 years and worked at Hidden Greens Golf Course North, from its inception. He was a lifelong Packer fan and enjoyed feeding deer, birds and ducks but not squirrels.
Morrie was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his life partner, Mary Ann Walt of Solon Springs; children, Diana (Drew) Ammons of Jacksonville, Fla., Jon (Tammye) of Yuma, Ariz., and Colin (Tammy) of Cold Spring, Minn.; step-children, John (Tracey) Walt, Chuck (Jori) Walt all of Solon Springs, Sarah (Jeff Simenson) Walt of Bennett, Wis. and Barb (Pepe) Curphy of Poplar, Wis.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Edith (Harry) Wester of Bennett, Wis.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Middle River Health Care Center for their thoughtful care of Morrie.
