Obituary of Donna J. Eddy

Donna J. Eddy, age 79 of Somerset WI and formerly of Elk River, died on Sunday morning, November 17, 2024 at her home in Somerset. Donna Was born on February 10, 1945 in Glenwood, the daughter of James and Elsie (Sellgren) Gaffaney. She grew up in Glenwood and after graduation moved to Minneapolis. She was Married to Donald Eddy October 8, 1966 Until he passed away January 31,1997. Donna married Roland Belisle on December 22, 2018 in Somerset. She was a 30 year employee at the Guardian Angels Nursing Home in Elk River holding many different positions. Donna enjoyed spending time playing dominos and cards with friends and family. Donna was a member of the Central Lutheran church in Elk River until she moved to Somerset where she became a member of St Anne's Catholic church. Donna is survived by her husband Roland, children; Diana (Dan Parker) Dockter , Belinda (Mike) Carlson and Bill (Jackie) Eddy. Step Children Lisa (Larry Carufel) Belisle, Sue (Fred) Pasno, Kevin (Lisa) Belisle and Tom (Sarah) Belisle; grandchildren Jimilyn Rouse, Arianna Carlson, Dylan, Wesley, Elianna, Johnny and Nathan Eddy; Great grandchildren James, Jemma, Jax and Jesse; brother Paul; Sister-in-laws Flo Gaffaney, Paula Gaffaney, Elaine Gaffaney, Lauren Aasen; brother-in-law Ken Ask. Many, Many loving nieces and nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by husband Donald; her parents; Grandson Tristan Eddy ; Son-in-law Scott Dockter; Siblings, Catherine, Janet, Ellen, Betty, Polly, Bob, Tom, Mike, Pat, Mary, and Peter; and many other extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10a-11a., at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 141 Church Hill Rd, Somerset, WI. Luncheon to follow at the church. Interment will be December 6th at The Orono Cemetery in Elk River at 11am, with a Luncheon to follow.
