Obituary of Patricia J Abraham
Patricia Jean Abraham July 23, 1945 -November 8, 2024
Patricia Jean Abraham was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She left this world suddenly on November 8, 2024 at the age of 79 after a battle with vascular disease.
She was born to August and Hazel Hauptman on July 23, 1945 in Eau Claire, WI. Patricia graduated from Regis High School in 1963. She was loved by all that touched her life.
In 1965, she met her husband while working at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. After receiving the mandatory approval from her father, she married Vernon Abraham, August 25, 1965. In 1966, they started their family with the birth of their first child Sandra. Patricia worked at Fabritek to help support the family while Vernon completed college. After Vernon joined 3M company they moved to St Paul, MN. They lived in various locations throughout the twin cities while giving birth to their remaining three children, Brenda, Michele and Laurie. As Pat found out later in life, Vernon had an affinity to moving. They owned eleven different homes over 59 years of marriage. Pat gracefully went along for the ride, until they moved to their final home in Maple Grove, MN.
Our family lived in Hudson, WI for twelve years while the children completed their education. During the time in Hudson, they spent many summers fishing at the lake. They traveled to many locations throughout the United States with the four children snuggly fitted into the car. After the children were on their own Vernon retired from 3M company and they were on the move. First move was to Las Vegas where Pat fell in love playing the slot machines. While playing one machine and stacking up six trays of dollar coins; the casino was watching her. The machine stopped paying and she was safe. From Vegas they moved to Parker, Colorado and then to Broomfield, Colorado. They both enjoyed the mountain casinos, mild climate and the outdoor environment. The final move was back to the twin cities area residing in Maple Grove, MN. Throughout the years Pat dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. As her health was deteriorating, she enjoyed playing casino slots on her tablet, drinking mochas and eating cheese sticks.
Survived by her husband Vernon Abraham and her four girls Sandra Eayrs (Stan), her grandsons Justin and Alex Eayrs, Brenda Abraham (Dan), Michele Kirby, granddaughter Alyssa Kirby, and Laurie Abraham, grandsons Mason Abraham and Cayden Johnson. Sister Marilyn Redman.
Preceding her in her death were her father August Hauptman, her mother Hazel Gunderson,
sisters Barbara, Fran, Carol and brothers Robert “Sonny” and Jimmy.
