Preceded in death by her parents, Hjalmer and Enga Peterson and father of her children, Robert W. Gibson, and sister, Peg Trippe.
Graduated in 1949 from Denfeld High School, attended University of Minnesota, Duluth, and completed her college education at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Married Robert W. Gibson in 1954
Lived in Baton Rouge, LA, New Haven, CT, where Reid and Nina were born. Moved to Niagara Falls, NY, where Joel and Beth were born. Lived on Grand Island, NY for several years before returning to Duluth. Was employed as a medical secretary for Orthopedic Associates in Duluth for 21 years. Retired in December 1995.
Flo was a creative soul who loved creating art, crafts, crocheting, and sewing as gifts for others. She enjoyed classical and jazz music, dancing, and loved performing and competitions with the Western Traditional Dance Team, organ lessons at Schmitt Music, taking classes at University for Seniors, traveling with the Country Caravans, and, most especially, family reunions.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth chapel in the spring
