Obituary of Sarah Marie George

Sarah Marie George passed away on October 26, 2024 at the U of M Medical Center in Minneapolis following surgery.

Sarah was born on October 1, 1970 to Lee & Sharon George in Hastings, Nebraska. She was welcomed by her sister Michelle with whom she shared a precious bond of love and caring.

Sarah’s favorite things were decorating Easter cupcakes, campfires with hotdogs & s’mores, Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa’s with the whole family, Christmas Eve candlelight service, birthdays with her friends, aunts, uncles & cousins playing bingo, babies, cats, grocery shopping, pushing wheelchairs for her peers, watching Shrek, Grease, and Nascar, taco salad and beads.

Sarah will be profoundly missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth, innocence, sense of humor, and unwavering spirit

Sarah is survived by her parents Lee & Sharon, sister Michelle (Michael), niece Olivia, Aunts: Nan(Lowell), Orlew (Larry), Janet (Mike), Susan Cousins: Nathan (Heather), Becky (Jeff), Laura, Anna (Chad), Karsten, Spencer (Katrina), Second cousins MacKenzie (Zach), Jens, Ben (Payton), Riley, Chloe, Madeline, Thor, Caden, Kiley, and Josh. Third cousins Luca, Molly, and Daphne. And many friends, housemates and caregivers.

A memorial service will be held November 23, 11:00 am, at the Cremation Society at 7835 Brooklyn Park Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN with lunch following.

The family extends a very special thank you to her housemates and caregivers at Edgewood for caring so deeply for Sarah.
