Lorrie Ann Hines, a deeply cherished soul, entered this world on December 6, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, and peacefully left us on October 18, 2024, at the age of 53. As we gather to celebrate her life and legacy, we remember Lorrie as someone who brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered.
Growing up in the bustle of Chicago, Lorrie was known for her infectious laughter and deep compassion for others. These qualities guided her journey through life, driving her passion for the medical profession. Her educational path led her to Globe College of Business, where she proudly graduated as a Medical Healthcare Receptionist—a role she embraced with dedication and care. Lorrie was also certified in CPR, adding to her preparedness to help those in need, which she did with a heart full of empathy.
Family was at the center of Lorrie's world. As the beloved daughter of Maxine and Nathaniel Hines, she carried the values of kindness and resilience they bestowed upon her. Her bond with her brothers, Dennis James and Torrence Hines, was one of shared joys and camaraderie. Lorrie was the cornerstone of her family, imparting wisdom and love onto her three beautiful daughters: Chanell Tallman, Ashley Ivory, and Granddaughter Charitie Galtney. To them, she was not just a mother but also a guiding light and confidante.
Whether offering a listening ear, or sharing a hearty laugh, Lorrie's presence was felt deeply, and her absence leaves a significant void in the hearts of many. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, compassion, and an enduring willingness to lift others' spirits.
