"Our Mom's Legacy "
She was a hard worker and a devoted mother.
She raised six kids.
She was a believer in ironing everything so we could look "our best".
She baked the best Carmel rolls, cookies, pies and fruit breads. Homemade bread was baked every day, while we were young. And let's not forget about her amazing spaghetti that took two days to make.
She could put together a meal on almost nothing.
She loved baking for the State Fair and won numerous ribbons.
Her holiday meals were occasions to remember.
She went without trips and nice things, always putting her family first.
She always made Christmas special, even making our dolls clothes and making pajamas for us girls.
She loved making craft projects, scrapbooking, making tie blankets, and especially making the most beautiful cards for others to enjoy.
She loved to sing and garden, planting vegetables and beautiful flowers.
She was a loving mother who showered us with hugs and kisses and not just us, but all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, 70 in all.
She loved the Lord with all her heart and would pray for her children and all her grandchildren . When dad was alive, she and dad would read their Bible every day. After dad went to heaven, mom continued to read her Bible for strength and comfort.
Thank you mom, for your amazing unconditional love, rest in perfect peace.
Love forever,
David, Greg, Carol, Joni, & Susie
Our family would also like to thank Ecumen Lakeview Commons for making mom's final and last three years of her life so meaningful, joyful with dignity and respect.
How blessed we were to have the nursing staff, aides, activity directors, hospice personnel, front desk staff, cleaning crew, maintenance man kitchen staff and even Gus, the house dog , ALL, who genuinely loved and cared about our mom as much as we did. ALL, called her by name "Dolly". Words cannot express our gratitude for all they have done to make our mom's last year's so comfortable and meaningful ❤️ We are forever grateful
Love "Dolly's Family
