Obituary of William (Bill, Billy) Sobania
William (Bill, Billy) Sobania, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully after battling pancreatic cancer with remarkable grit and determination. Leaving behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and adventure. Bill was known for his fun-loving spirit and his uncanny ability to fix just about anything—like a real-life MacGyver. His zest for life was evident in everything he did, from his unforgettable sense of humor to his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Kelley (Daniel) and Laura (Andy), who will forever cherish their father’s wisdom and the joyful memories they shared. He was a doting grandfather to Genevieve, Nova, and Riley, whose smiles lit up his world. He is also survived by his mother, Jan, his sisters, Robin (Dave), Jane (Dana) and his brother, Tony, who will miss his infectious laughter and boundless love. He was deeply loved by his devoted significant other, Sara, whose love and dedication were a source of comfort during his courageous fight. Preceded in death by his father, George and wife, Lori.
An avid Harley rider, Bill found immense joy in hitting the open road, especially during his cherished trips to Sturgis. He also loved soaking up the sun in Mexico, where he made countless memories.
His generosity knew no bounds; he was always ready to share his knowledge and help others, embodying the spirit of community. Bill leaves behind a treasure trove of memories and a legacy of kindness that will inspire all who knew him.
