Obituary of Sharon Lea Drake
Sharon Lea Drake, age 84 of St Michael passed away peacefully with grace at her home on September 11, 2024 with her family by her side.
Sharon Lea (Chrysler) Drake was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 16, 1939. She attended North High School along with her childhood sweetheart, Gordon Drake. They crossed the border to Iowa and were married on February 15, 1958. They were blessed with four children, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Family was the most important thing in her life. She never missed a chance to attend any events or activities for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon was an excellent cook and loved entertaining family and friends with elegant meals.
Sharon worked as a Child Support Specialist at Anoka County for 27 years. She enjoyed being active and keeping busy. You could find her working in her yard, playing tennis, and keeping her house sparkling clean.
Preceded in death by her parents: Bruce and Karin Chrysler; brother Gary and husband Gordon. She is survived by her sister Barbara Judge, children Raymond (Kristy) Drake, Kathleen (Geno Perro) Barker, Susan (Brice) Lamey, Jonathan (Maribeth) Drake, son in law Tim, grandchildren Michael, Liz, Sandra, James, Phillip, Lydia, Ian, Emma, Samuel & Anna and great grandchildren Owen, Hannah, Hadley, Declan, Hazel, Jace, Elle, Miles and Violet.
A celebration of life for Sharon will be planned at a later date.
