Obituary of Patricia Ann Zylla
Patricia Ann Zylla (Hogan), Age 75, passed away August 31, 2024. Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Patricia ‘Pat’ graduated from Regina High School in 1967 and St. Cloud State University in 1972. She married the love of her life, Dennis, in 1972; their love story was unmatched and revered by many. Together they raised two children; Jennifer (47) and Jason (42) in Plymouth, MN. Pat loved being a mother and found great joy in staying home with her children. Once they headed off to school, she started a career at HealthPartners.
One of Pat’s fondest childhood memories was as a Minneapolis Aquatennial Junior Queen, a title she was awarded in 1956 based on personality, charm, and poise. She carried those traits throughout her life. She was a class-act, the true definition of a social butterfly, and made everyone feel special. She loved life and often talked about how lucky she was. Pat prioritized and cherished her lifelong friendships including those of her childhood friends, college roommates, Delta Sigma Pi's, book clubs, and more. She loved to shop for the latest fashion trends and was often dressed in stripes, bright colors, layers of jewelry, and never left the house without lipstick. She enjoyed endless adventures; including golfing, boating, dining out, traveling, snowbirding in Naples, FL, and being an active grandma.
Pat will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by parents (Mary and Franklin Hogan), brother (Michael Hogan), and her beloved husband (Dennis). She leaves behind daughter, Jennifer Nolan (Patrick); son, Jason (Alison); and four grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by sisters Kathleen Hovde (Greg) and Mary Hogan, sister-in-law Marilyn Hogan, several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
