Obituary of Lois T. Rustad

Lois T. Rustad, 89, of Duluth, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in Viewcrest Health Center surrounded by her family. She was born March 16, 1927, in Duluth, to the late Joseph and Anna Telega. Lois married Lester Rustad Aug, 15, 1953, and they enjoyed 62 years together. Lois was a member of American Business Women Association and St. Looie Group, Lois Club and Duluth Turtle Patrol Snowmobile Club. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Telega; one sister, Pat Brooks; one grandson, John Elwell; and son-in-law, Bruce Johnson. Survivors include her husband Lester; one daughter, Joyce Johnson; one son, Kevin Rustad; two grandsons, James (Terri Smith) Elwell, and Martin (Nikki) Elwell; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Isaac, and Lucas. A special thank you to Viewcrest and St. Luke's Hospice for their wonderful care of our mother. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 3 p.m. Tuesday May 3, 2016, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
