Devoted daughter, mother and grandma “Mimi”
Aimee Allison Stanford, 51, died Friday August 30th at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota after her lifelong and courageous battle against lupus and end stage kidney disease surrounded by her family.
Aimee was born March 19th, 1973, in St Paul, Minnesota to Robert and Holly Stanford. She grew up in Circle Pines Minnesota and graduated from Centennial High School class of 1991. After high school she began working in many different jobs but always finding herself in food service. She worked for many markets, catering companies, and kitchens. Aimee loved when her food brought happiness to others and loved the community it created.
In 1996 she was blessed with her daughter Emily Hope and blessed with her granddaughter Lilah Jane in 2022 who was the light of her life, and the reason she fought her chronic illness every day.
Aimee was a lover of food, always willing to try something new and funky. She was a great party planner, throwing celebrations with amazing food. Many remembering and enjoying her big 4th of July bashes. Aimee enjoyed history and travel and had the opportunity to travel with her parents around the United States and shared these memories and experiences with her friends and loved ones.
Aimee is survived by her parents Robert and Holly Stanford, brother Robert Stanford Jr, daughter Emily (Tyler) Rentz, and granddaughter Lilah Rentz as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Aimee will be remembered for her incredible kindness, joy, laughter and especially her strength.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 19th 2024 at 1 pm at the Mermaid Lanes in Mounds View MN, 2200 Mounds View Blvd, Mounds View MN 55112.
