Obituary of Lillian Guzda
Lillian Guzda passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2024, and Heaven gained a very special Angel. Lily went to sleep on this earth and awoke in heaven. She will be missed by all who knew her. We will miss her funny quick wit, her contagious laugh, and her amazing knitting and crocheting talent. She was always working on something to keep her busy. But her favorite thing was to play Yahtzee with anyone willing to play penny a point. She was an amazing cook and still at 92 would do family pierogi and pasty making day just to make sure we would carry on that tradition when she was gone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Pauline, her sister Ann and her brothers Johnny and Walter, and her beloved dog Mitzy.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Mark) Vogel, her grandkids Rachelle (Derek) Martenson Great Granddaughter Elena with twin siblings arriving in December, Kyle (Samantha) Vogel Great Granddaughters Cheyenne and Sydney, Colin (Samantha) Vogel Great Granddaughter Lily and Great Grandson Wyatt. Her favorite niece and “Good Buddy” Diane Delorme and great nieces and a great nephew. And many friends that she considered family.
Per her wishes she did not want a service, so we will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday August 31, 2024 at 2:00 pm. This will be held at her daughter’s home. Come tell a story or two, and of course play a game of Yahtzee in her honor.
