Obituary of Kerry Kenneth Kruse
In loving memory of Kerry Kenneth Kruse "Ken", who passed away on Friday August 16th,
2024 at the age of 61.
Ken was born in Sycamore, IL on September 2, 1962. He grew up in the Chicago area and later moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked in the hotel industry. Eventually, he started his own photography business, Memory Lane Studios, in Brooklyn Park, which operated for over 25 years.
Ken is preceded in death by his father, Robert Kruse and mother, Shirley Kruse(Moak).
Ken is survived by his wife, Staci Kruse(Johnson) and his children, Andrew, Courtney, and Kiersten Kruse as well as his family of friends.
Ken lived a life filled with dedication to his many passions. As an avid guitarist, he played bass for his churches worship team, using his musical gifts to inspire and uplift. His love for vintage cars was exemplified by his cherished 1974 Dodge Charger, a symbol of his appreciation for classic beauty. Ken’s enthusiasm extended to vintage toys and games as well as a deep seated enjoyment of sports, including hockey, baseball, and football. He was never without a jersey for the occasion celebrating each event with gusto. He was also a zealous traveler, relishing in vacations and road trips with family and friends.
With a heart full of compassion, Ken devoted much of his life to reaching out to those that did not yet know Jesus. His mission was to share the love of Christ, and meet people where they were by showing them the same care and empathy he extended to all.
As an only child, Ken created a chosen family from his circle of friends, whom he loved dearly. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, passion, and unwavering spirit.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25 at 2:30 PM at Real Life Church located at 2353 Chatsworth St N, Roseville, MN with a celebration of life service to follow at 3:30 PM. Ken preferred not to wear black to funerals so to honor his memory, please come dressed in your favorite sports jersey.
In honoring Ken’s memory, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to any of the following homeless organizations, as a tribute to his compassion and commitment to helping those in need. Ken’s legacy of giving and support will continue through these contributions, providing help and assistance to individuals in transition.
