Obituary of Genevieve C. Trotta

Genevieve "Gen" C. Trotta of Duluth, passed away in Essentia Health, with her family by her side on April 27, 2016. Gen was born in Duluth to Sarino and Nicolina (Dandrea) Campanella. She worked for several area businesses, including Diamond Tool, St. Mary's and CHOICE unlimited. Gen was very proud of her Italian heritage. She belonged to the Italian American Club Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed baking and cooking Italian food. She was hardworking and generous with her time. Gen cherished her family and enjoyed the time and memories she created with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; her parents and siblings, Christine, Rose, Marion and Michael. She leaves behind many family memories and traditions and is the last representative for each of her two devoted Italian legacies. Gen is survived by her children, Carlotta Loberg of Duluth, DeeAnn Trotta of Duluth, Mary Trotta of St. Paul; grandchildren, Blythe (Terry) Aldrich, Brent (Lauren) Loberg, Andrea (fianc Nick Nelson) Nelson, Stasha (Sean) Becher; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
