Obituary of Robert Leonard Hagen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Leonard Hagen on August 4th, 2024, at the age of 85. Bob was born on August 19th, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York and was the beloved son of Leonard and Marian Hagen.

Bob and his wife Marcia, were junior high school sweethearts who eloped to Iowa in 1959, where they were married by a Justice of the Peace. Their union of 62 years was a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and affection.

Bob lived a life full of passion and dedication, embracing each of his interests with unwavering commitment. Whether casting a line in search of the next big catch or carefully crafting a piece of wood into something beautiful, Bob approached everything he did with skill and patience. As a long-time Mason, he dedicated countless hours to the Shriners, embodying their mission of service and helping those in need. His love for the outdoors was further reflected in his active involvement with the Zuhrah Rod and Gun Club, where he formed lasting friendships.

Outside of work, his heart belonged to his beloved dogs, who brought him immense joy and companionship throughout his life. Having a passion for capturing moments through photography, Bob was rarely without his camera, always ready to preserve cherished memories.
