Leroy (Lee) Andrew Videen
August 21, 1951 — July 8, 2024
Spring Lake Park, MN

Lee Videen, age 72, passed away peacefully Monday, July 8, 2024 at his home in Spring Lake Park from a stroke.

Lee was born to Allen Leroy (Catfish) Videen and Mildred Anna Abrahamson of Minneapolis, MN.

After graduating from South High School in Minneapolis, he earned a Bachelors degree from Augsburg College. After college he worked as a salesman selling machine tools until his retirement in 2017. Lee and Cheryl married in 1991 and with open arms merged their two families.

Lee had passion for so many things in life and gave 110% to everything he did. He was an avid downhill skier and bicycle rider, competing in multiple races. He also enjoyed golfing and playing softball with his sons and friends.

Later in life Lee enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and riding the trails with his loyal Arabian horse Breeze.

Lee’s biggest source of pride were his children and grandchildren whom he loved spending time with. We will remember Lee for his zest for life, positive attitude, as well as his endless sense of humor.

Lee leaves behind a wife Cheryl, children Ben (Margaret) Videen, Jon (Sally) Videen, Sam Videen, Cody Videen; grandchildren Emma (Johnathan) Olson, Stella Videen, Miko Videen, Grace Videen, Avery Videen; brother Steve (Elizabeth) Videen; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents LeRoy and Mildred Videen; Sister Sandy (Pat) Sullivan and Brother Dave (Barb) Videen.

No funeral service is planned, instead he will be honored with an outdoor celebration of life on September 7th from noon to 3:00 pm at his son’s home, 13115 Lilly Street NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448 (Please park on the street and do not block the driveway for those that need to be dropped off).
