Obituary of Grace Louise Bailey
Grace Louise (Burke) Bailey, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2016.
Grace was born on March 9, 1931 to Joseph W. and Julia G. Burke in Minneapolis.
She married Walter K. Bailey on Aug. 10, 1956, and spent 20 years as a military family before making their home in Clover Valley. Grace was a volunteer for 30 years in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, working in pediatrics and I.C.U. She was a supporter the U.S. Military and their families, recently active in the Duluth chapter of Operation Minnesota Nice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a stillborn son.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Troy) Berg, Sally (Bob) Mostrom, William (Anne) Bailey, and Cynthia (Bruce) Lovold; nine grandchildren, Christine (Charlie) Bolan, Amanda (Andrew) Lasseter, Kevin Lampi, Jacqueline Snyder, Christopher Snyder, Ronald (Leah) Bailey, Jessica Bailey, Peter Lovold, and Nicole Lovold; great-grandson, Noah Lasseter and Baby Bailey (Ron and Leah) soon to arrive; brother, Terrence (Irene) Burke; sister, Judith (Bruce Sr.) Lovold; sister-in-law, Judith (Don) Gilbert; cousin, Jon (Jeanne) Forster; and many nieces, nephews, friends and her faithful furry companion, Sophia the cat.
A very special note of thank you to the staff of Primrose Assisted Living, for the wonderful care they provided, her physicians, Dr. Joseph Howard and Dr. JeRay Johnson for their tireless care, compassion and wisdom and her long time friend Pastor Steve Wlosinski, for his friendship, love and devotion to Grace and our family.
VISITATION: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service on Saturday, May 7, 2016, in the Cremation Society in Duluth, with a luncheon to follow.
