When I first met Tom, he seemed do shy and didn't talk much. Was I totally wrong. Once you got to know him better he wouldn't be quiet!! Once again I learned not to judge a person right away.

The unexpected and sudden dead of Tom was a terrible blow. "Papa" to our mutual grandchildren, Roman, William, and Alaina.
Tom was a good man, a nice man, a gentle man, a generous man, a loving Papa to his grandchildren, a kind soul, and a man of humor. He could make you laugh when you didn't feel like laughing at all.
Tom welcomed me into the family with open arms when Adam and Janelle came together as a loving couple. When my husband passed away, it was Tom who showed me empathy and kindness at the next family gathering.
Our Parents and Grandparents play a significant role in our lives, and when one dies, it can be devastating time.
Tom's legacy will live on through the love and values he instilled in his daughter, his son, and his six grandchildren. And he will be greatly missed by us all.
My heart is breaking for his wife Cathe, his children Janelle (and Adam), David (and Jen), and his six grandchildren.
As I said, Tom had a wonderful sense of humor. One of my fondness memories of Tom was at our grandson Roman's football game. We were on the sidelines and just as I was taking a drink of soda, Tom made a comment about one of the players pants. The coke came out my mouth, my nose, as I was laughing and choking at the same time. Tom was patting me on the back trying to hold his own laughter but not doing a very good job, while asking if I was okay. We settled down and just as I was taking another drink of soda Tom, in a serious voice said "I don't think you should drink that"! Which started the entire scene all over again. Even now as I think of it I see Tom laughing.
Loving and merciful God, we entrust Tom to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life. Now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace for ever. Welcome him now into paradise, where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain.
Through the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit...
Amen
For Cathe, Janelle, David, Adam, Jen, and all grandchildren...
