Obituary of Deb Michurski

Deborah “Deb” Kay Michurski, of Buffalo, MN passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, due to health complications, surrounded by her family.

Deb was born on July 15th, 1965, to Connie and Dave Severson in Spencer, Iowa. After Deb graduated from Spencer High School in 1983, she went on to earn a Paralegal degree at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa. Once graduated, she moved to Minnetonka, Minnesota and started her first job at United Healthcare as a marketing specialist. Shortly after, she landed herself a new position at Baxter Advertising, which is where she met her future husband, Dennis Michurski.

Deb and Dennis were married on October 21st, 1995, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, Iowa, and soon, excitedly welcomed their only daughter Hannah, in April of 1999. Together they worked on their advertising business, and various other similar positions, while raising their daughter where they had settled in Maple Lake, Minnesota.

Deb had an enormously friendly heart, and made every person she interacted with feel comfortable and at home. She would often chat with someone sitting alone, or in need of company at any gathering. She was a collector of friends, and would jump at the chance to spend time chatting, shopping, playing games, or just visiting with them. Deb was also an avid reader of books, loved to plant flower gardens, and recently had taken an interest in remodeling and decorating the interior of her home. She spent most of her adult years living on the lake where she enjoyed listening to live music while soaking up the sun, and spending time making memories with her family and friends. She had many dreams of traveling, and had enjoyed a few getaways in the last few years of her life. She was especially proud of her daughter, Hannah, and all that she had accomplished. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Connie and Dave Severson, parents-in-law, Mitchell and Karin Michurski. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband; Dennis, daughter Hannah Michurski, and brother, Mike Severson (Rebekah Avery); niece Alyssa, nephew Andrew; Sister-in-law, Carrie Jean Michurski, brother-in-law, Gary Michurski, and many other relatives and dear friends. 

A celebration of life will be held on August 10th at 2:00 p.m. at The V by HH, 66 Maple Ave N, Maple Lake, MN 55358. A tribute to her life will begin at 3:00 p.m.
