Obituary of John Joseph Kilby

John Joseph Kilby Jr., 48, of Duluth, died on April 30, 2016. He was born in Duluth on Nov. 26, 1967, to John and Mary (Uhlenkamp) Kilby. John sustained a head injury in 1984, due to a dirt bike accident which made his life more difficult. He still had a positive outlook on life. Those who knew John, loved him for his sense of humor and giving nature. He was a wonderful loving son, brother and uncle. The past 25 years he lived in Gary New Duluth, where he owned a home, which was his pride and joy. He loved just sitting on his porch, waving and greeting his neighbors. John loved animals, especially his cat, named Snuggles. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family. Now his Dad has his buddy resting in peace with him. He was preceded in death by his father, John Kilby Sr. John is survived by his mother, Mary Alice Kilby; four loving sisters, Donna Kilby, of Florida, Nancy (Shawn Ewer) Kilby, Judy (George Dieter) Kilby, Jackie (Mark Gilbertson) Kilby, all of Duluth; three nephews, Dustin Kilby, Cody Adams, Brandon Adams; niece, Ashley Wilton; two great-nieces, Milayah Kilby, Gabriella Wilton; and one great-nephew, Cashis John Kilby. We would like to thank his neighbors for being so kind, friendly and for watching over him when we couldn't be there. He will forever be missed by his loving family. Private family services will be held.
